Pomegranate Tea {Coffee Date}

Strong black coffee has a prominent place in my daily life {I crave the stuff!}, but my other love is this absolutely amazing Mulled Pomegranate Cider Herbal Tea from Teavana.  It is just SO GOOD!  It’s perfect for after dinner, especially when you’re trying NOT to eat the pounds of leftover Halloween candy that seem to be EVERYWHERE {taunting me!!}, and it’s also perfect for watching a late night movie, or in the afternoon when you need something sweet.  So, yeah – it’s perfect anytime!  My good friend and I are equally obsessed with these fancy teas {it’s ALMOST time for our fav winter option!}, and we scour the Teavana website all the time for the next best thing.

While I’m on the topic and feeling a little sentimental, good friends really are the best things we have.  I read a quote somewhere {I think it was Bob Goff} that said ‘Friends are proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy’ and I don’t think truer words were ever spoken.  I’m a little sad writing this because my dad lost a good friend of his today.  We all did.  One of the most wonderful things is when a friend becomes like family, and they are just as close to your family as they are to you.  My dad’s friend has been a part of my whole life, and he will be so dearly missed.   I thank God often for friends who are there when you need them, whether it’s for a laugh, or a cry, or a ridiculous favor, or just a chat, or just to be ‘there,’ and this guy was one of those guys.  Do yourself a favor and get this stuff, and share a cup with a good friend.  Some of the best conversations I’ve had were over a cup of tea, and times like that – so ‘regular’ and seemingly unremarkable – are the times that we often treasure most.

{And while you’re ordering, get me some, too, because I’m fresh out! For real, though…I made my last cup a few days ago and for whatever reason haven’t ordered more yet and I kinda want to cry…}
